The Slippery Rock University President’s Commission on Wellness is sponsoring a couple of upcoming events to help students make choices that will reduce stress and improve wellness.
First, a Zombie-themed five kilometer trail run will kick off with check-in and registration at 8 a.m. today followed by the race at 9 a.m. at the SRU Ski Lodge. Registered runners will wear flags and be chased by people dressed as zombies who will attempt to take the flags. Any uncaptured flags at the end of the race can be redeemed for chances to win prizes.
The Commission on Wellness is also helping to fund a Stress Less bonfire event on Monday at 7 p.m. also at the SRU Ski Lodge. This event will include stress-reducing food and lawn games such as cornhole and KanJam. This event is open to the entire campus community.
