Slippery Rock University has released more information about major renovations to the University Union scheduled to begin this spring.
The building which has served as the main hub for students since 1970 is scheduled for over $19 million in renovations including interior and exterior work along with new plumbing and electrical systems.
When the improvements are complete, the building will house the Office of Disability Services, financial aid, student support, the mailing center, parking, counseling, career center, and health center.
“The Campus Success Center will serve as a centralized location for students to access resources they need and to be successful,” Scott Albert, associate vice president for facilities, environmental safety and sustainability said. “This is a great way to improve our existing space with better placement of offices that will create more opportunities for collaboration and flexibility in how we use facilities across the entire campus.”
The new Campus Success Center will be completed in 2024.
