The Slippery Rock University football team defeated Clarion 38-22 last night. Rock quarterback Brayden Long threw four touchdowns in the game. Slippery Rock improved to 7-1 this season and won their 34th consecutive night game. The Rock will host Seton Hill next Saturday, November 9th.
College Football Saturday:
–#3 Penn State will host #4 Ohio State at Beaver Stadium. Kick-off is noon. Penn State head coach James Franklin is 1-9 all-time against Ohio State, and has lost seven straight games to the Buckeyes. The Nittany Lions are a three-point home underdog.
–#18-ranked Pitt is in Texas Saturday to visit SMU. Kick-off is 8pm. Quarterback Eli Holstein will start for the Panthers. He left Pitt’s win over Syracuse late with an injury, but has been cleared to play. Pitt are 7-1/2 point underdogs.
The 6-1 Grove City College football team will visit Waynesburg Saturday. Kick-off is 1pm.
