Slippery Rock University students are participating in online-only classes but a group of SRU staff and students are working to keep students engaged with the University through activities.
A newly formed, 15-member committee called the Student Involvement Team is trying to preserve the campus community and keep students connected.
Through a Virtual Involvement Initiative, students are invited to participate in online trivia games and home fitness classes as well as group discussions on social media or sharing school spirit photos.
The format for the remainder of this semester will include a different theme for each weekday such as Talk It Out Tuesday which features a spotlight on discussion groups and advocacy. Students will receive a weekly email newsletter with details about upcoming virtual events.
