A group of local students recently spent time learning about older residents through a class project.
A dozen Slippery Rock University students were partnered with residents of Lowrie Place for a Legacy Project.
The students had one on one conversations with the residents and used that information to make a Legacy Book for them and their families.
On Tuesday, the students spoke about their resident at a presentation gathering and presented them with the book. The students also studied the business side of a personal care home as part of this project.
This project is expected to repeat in the fall semester with a different group of students and residents.
