Move-in day for first year Slippery Rock University students is Thursday and the school community is helping with the transition.
More than 1,400 first-year and transfer students will move into residence halls between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. All students must either provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or be tested before entering.
Volunteers will be on hand to help and students are advised to mark all luggage with clear identifying labels.
Thursday will also kick-off Week of Welcome activities for new students to get them acclimated to the school and community. A hypnotist will perform at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium at 7 p.m. Daily events, games, and meetings will continue through the end of the month.
Upperclass students will move in Sunday followed by the start of SRU’s Fall Semester on Monday. Visit the Office of Student Affairs or the SRU Week of Welcome webpage for more information.
