The Slippery Rock University College of Liberal Arts and Gender Studies Program along with History and Music Departments are sponsoring a free program later this week to continue the memory of the Holocaust.
The annual “Holocaust Remembrance Program” is planned for Wednesday from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Miller Theater in the Performing Arts Center.
Author Lee Kikel, will share a talk titled “First Person Testimony: A Multidisciplinary Approach to Holocaust Education” based on her recent publication of a collection of stories told by her father who survived the Auschwitz concentration camp.
This gathering will also include a performance on flute by a SRU music faculty of a piece written by a Dutch composer and activist as well as a wind ensemble performance featuring another SRU professor of music.
