The process of selecting the next president of Slippery Rock University continues to move forward as the Council of Trustees fills open positions on the search committee.
Amanda Yale was selected to fill the position of university executive on the committee and Joan Allen will join the committee as a non-instructional employee. Yale and Allen will take the place of members who have resigned from the original search committee.
The Council of Trustees is currently soliciting applications from students, faculty, and staff to fill the last remaining vacant at-large position on the committee. A decision is expected to be made at the Council’s December 8th meeting.
The SRU presidential search was extended in October when trustees failed to advance the names of two candidates recommended by the search committee to the State System of Higher Education board of governors.
