A group of Slippery Rock University students stayed up late over this past weekend in an effort to raise funds for childhood cancer research.
The fundraiser was called “Up ‘til 2” as students went late into the night participating in a range of activities at the Aebersold Recreation Center.
Over the course of 5.5 hours, the students raised more than $23,000 that will go to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
St. Jude’s annually treats more than 8,000 children suffering from childhood cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
