A group of local students is recreating the campus of Slippery Rock University in virtual space.
Five students with the SRU E-sports Club are using the game Minecraft to construct the campus as it appears in real life.
The project was started in October and the students have already spent over 100 hours duplicating The Quad as well as the interior and exterior of Morrow Fieldhouse.
The group’s goal is to have the entire campus completed by the end of the spring semester and possibly allow a place for a virtual commencement ceremony.
