Slippery Rock University will be outsourcing their health services next year.
The university announced they have contracted with Allegheny Health Network to handle the Student Health Center.
Streamlining costs was one of the reasons for the move according to student newspaper The Rocket.
The center is currently staffed by university-employed nurses. Those nurses will have to apply through AHN to continue working at the center.
The switch to Allegheny Health Network will become official in January.
