The Slippery Rock University Council of Trustees will hold two days of meetings beginning Thursday, and then welcome the chancellor of Pennsylvania’s State System of Higher Education in a couple of weeks.
Dan Greenstein will come back to SRU on April 15 for the second round of his “listening and learning tour.” He first visited campus in October.
Greenstein became the fifth chancellor of the state system last fall. In his role, he serves as CEO of the system which operates the state’s 14 public universities.
All trustees meetings being held today and Friday are open to any students, faculty or community members who would like to attend.
The Academic and Student Affairs Committee will gather Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Smith Student Center, followed by the Finance Committee at 2 p.m. and the University Advancement Committee at 3 p.m.
The Governance Committee leads the agenda for Friday at 10 a.m., also in the Smith Student Center, before the quarterly business meeting at 1:30 p.m. in the Student Center Theatre.
The SRU Marching Band will be recognized at the quarterly business meeting for its award-winning performance at this year’s St. Patrick’s Day Festival in Ireland.
