The college basketball season started yesterday, and the Pitt Panthers were upset by Saint Francis 80-70 at the Petersen Event Center.
Saint Francis got out to an early lead that was never relinquished through the evening. Au’Diese Toney led the Panthers with 20 points—but overall Pitt shot just 40 percent from the field, and only went six of 24 from 3 point land. Pitt will face Drexel on Saturday at 1 p.m.
