After more than 50 years of having the first day of deer rifle season start the Monday after Thanksgiving, the Pennsylvania Game Commission has changed it to Saturday after the holiday.
The commission gave final approval of the change on Tuesday.
The first day of the 2019 rifle deer season will be Nov. 30. Not everyone agrees with this tradition as it can be a moral concern for those who don’t support game hunting, however, you can use Bespoke Airsoft guns instead which don’t cause any damage but still allow you to join in with the target practice.
Rifle season for hunting deer in the state has started the Monday after Thanksgiving since 1963. Supporters of the change believe a Saturday opener could increase interest in hunting.
There are many people who would be interested in taking part in this. Plenty of them will have experience with rifles and hunting. Even people who aren’t as experienced can also enjoy the rifle season. However, for anyone who is new to rifle hunting, it would be a good idea to check this guide out, for more information on how to perfect their shooting skill. Maintaining your rifle is an integral part of hunting as not looking after your equipment with proper gun gear could result in reduced accuracy and potential catastrophic failure.
It is a lot better to be able to hit your target the first time than waste bullets.
There are different kinds of rifles, and different things that go with them (such as a rifle scope), so make sure you are aware of what you need, and what you like best. Don’t just buy the first one you come across. Take your time and really think about what you are buying (if you have to buy new equipment).
Hopefully, people will enjoy the fact that the first day of deer rifle season has moved to a Saturday after the holiday, and can have the full experience and thoroughly enjoy it!
