Members of the Pennsylvania Republican Committee are set to meet Wednesday night for a special session, in which they could censure Senator Pat Toomey.
The longtime Republican member of Congress voted to impeach President Donald Trump for his role in the Capitol riot on January 6th. He was one of only seven GOP senators to do so.
Following that vote, various county Republican committees opted to censure Toomey, but that hasn’t happened at a statewide level yet.
The Republican Committee plans to discuss the impeachment and the path forward for the party according to an email.
