Federal pandemic unemployment compensation programs are ending this week and state officials are reminding residents who are struggling that other options are available.
Department of Human Service officials said there are programs to help with rental payments, health insurance, food security, and other issues that may arise when federal payments end.
“There should be no shame or stigma associated with asking for assistance, and no one should be afraid to ask for help,” Inez Titus, deputy secretary of human services, said.
