State leaders are reminding renters that there are still funds available through an emergency program.
The Emergency Rental Assistance Program is continuing, and Human Services Acting Secretary Meg Snead says it’s even more important after a court ruled against the moratorium on evictions.
“Last week’s ruling may create fear and uncertainty, but we need people to know that they’re not alone in this,” Snead said. “EARP exists so that whenever the moratorium ends, we can all focus on our recovery from this crisis.”
Snead also says that landlords have access to the funds as well. For Butler County residents looking for more information, the program is being administered through the Center for Community Resources.
