Officials in the Pennsylvania State Department are reminding residents about the deadline to register to vote for the upcoming election.
The spring primary is set for May 16th; but the deadline to register is May 1st.
In order to vote, you must be a U.S. citizen for at least one month before the primary, a resident of Pennsylvania and election district for at least 30 days, and you must be 18 years old.
In primaries, only Republicans and Democrats are allowed to vote.
