It’s a great weekend to enjoy some outdoor activities at our local State Parks.
First, on Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. the Park Naturalist at Moraine State Park will lead participants on a 15 minute walk from the Davis Hollow Marina Office on the North Shore to Davis Hollow Creek where visitors will search for salamanders and other critters. Participants are advised to bring water shoes to slip on at the stream as well as bug spray.
Then on Sunday from 1 to 2:30 p.m., the Park Naturalist will meet visitors at the McConnell’s Mill Hells Hollow Trail Parking Lot for crayfishing. Attendees should dress for the weather, bring water, and wear sturdy shoes as well as bring shoes that can get wet.
