With some annual holiday traditions not able to happen this year, you may want to venture out of some state parks.
If you do, you should be aware of a few new coronavirus restrictions now in place.
Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Deputy Secretary John Norbeck says out of state visitors must either quarantine for 72 hours or have a negative test before visiting the parks.
“The basic message in all of this is that we have to double down in safety,” Norbeck said. “So we all have to do our part to reduce the spread of COVID, and we’re complying with the secretary of health’s orders for the state.”
Norbeck says they won’t be checking with every visitor at the park and they’re asking for voluntary compliance. Park officers will have the ability to cite someone though if they are in violation.
