The Kittanning State Police will be leading several roving and stationary DUI patrols this coming weekend.
Troopers will be conducting these patrols in various locations served by Troop D. The patrols will include portions of Allegheny County, as well as Armstrong and Butler.
Motorists are advised to be aware of their surroundings, and to have their license, registrations and insurance cards readily available. Authorities also encourage motorists to drive sober, use their seat belt and to use a designated driver if they choose to drink.
Additionally, motorists are reminded of the steer clear law. The law requires drivers to move over the lane furthest away from stopped emergency vehicles, and to slow down if it is not possible to move over. Failure to comply with the law could include fines and license suspension.
