Authorities have determined the identity of a driver involved in a crash on Interstate 80 in Clarion from late last week.
The State Police say shortly before 9am on Thursday, a vehicle was towing a trailer westbound on Interstate 80 when a pair of dual wheels were dislodged from the trailer. The wheels then traveled across the median, striking an eastbound car.
The eastbound car, which was driven by a 25-year-old Clarion woman, then spun and caught fire. The westbound driver did not stop, and continued on I-80.
Police did not immediately know the identity of the westbound driver, but were able to identify the individual on Saturday. Authorities did not disclose the name of that driver to the public.
