A Butler teenager continues to recover after she was hit by a vehicle last week in Connoquenessing.
State Police say the 16-year-old girl was struck by a pickup truck as she and her friend were trying to cross Route 68 on Thursday evening near the B&E Mini Mart.
Authorities say the girls ran out between two stopped vehicles. One of them made it across and the other was hit. The 47-year-old driver is from Renfrew and was traveling southbound in a GMC Sierra.
The teen was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital and then transferred to UPMC Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh.
There is no indication that the driver is being charged.
