A state representative is launching a bid for state treasurer.
Democrat Ryan Bizzarro announced his candidacy yesterday. The 37-year-old Erie native was first elected to the state house in 2012.
Bizzarro says the current state treasurer Republican Stacy Garrity has extreme positions and is playing politics with the position.
Bizzarro is the first Democrat to announce his candidacy for the position, which is up for election next year.
