A local lawmaker is leading a statewide committee to engage experts concerning decisions about artificial intelligence.
A recent announcement from State Representative Stephanie Scialabba states that after joining the five-person Artificial Intelligence Opportunity Task Force last year, she has been named chair.
This group has a goal of developing guiding principles and standards to help narrow the scope of review on legislation already in the works as well as inform innovative legislative policy to be formulated in the future.
The task force is scheduled to participate in upcoming field hearing tours in Butler and Allegheny counties, with more tours and information gathering sessions in April.
