The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) is reminding residents of what to do when their SNAP benefits are stolen.
After reports of EBT Card Skimming devices in Southeastern Pennsylvania, officials are reminding all residents of Pennsylvania to inspect a card reader before swiping. If anything, suspect is detected contact the DHS fraud tip line at 1-844-347-8477.
SNAP benefits that are stolen can be replaced if reported with 60 days of the theft. It will take up to 30 days for the request to be evaluated and pay out will take another 10 days.
