With National Dairy Month just a day away, residents can celebrate the return of the Pennsylvania Ice Cream Trail.
The 7th annual “Scooped: Ice Cream Trail” connects the PA Department of Agriculture’s PA Preferred Program, the PA Department of Community and Economic Development’s Tourism Office, and the Center for Dairy Excellence.
According to Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding, the trail is a partnership between more than 4,000 dairy farmers and 41 total creameries involved, including a few in western Pennsylvania.
Participants who visit five shops along the trail can earn a commemorative stainless-steel ice-cream scooper and those who visit ten will receive a t-shirt. More information is available online through the VisitPA.com website.
