State officials are releasing data from this year’s Operation Safe Stop, which aims to promote school bus safety.
It’s one-day of targeted enforcement, which happened on October 18th this year.
Participating agencies reported seeing 176 violations of the School Bus Stopping Law. That requires drivers to come to a complete stop at least 10 feet from a bus that has its red lights blinking and its arm bar extended.
State officials said this year’s number was down from last year, which saw 252 violations.
