The Pittsburgh Steelers have placed the franchise tag on running back Le’Veon Bell for the second consecutive years. By doing so, the Steelers have committed more than $14.5 million of their salary cap to their All-Pro running back – IF Bell signs the agreement. If Bell signs prior to March 14th, the Steelers will also have to deal with being over the salary cap. The two sides can also work out a long-term contract.
