The Pittsburgh Steelers host the Las Vegas Raiders Christmas Eve at Acrisure Stadium. Kick-off is set for 8:15pm. The Steelers are 2-1/2 point favorites and will see the return of Kenny Pickett at quarterback.
The Steelers had planned to hold a celebration of the Immaculate Reception today at the marker on the North Shore where the play actually occurred at the former Three Rivers Stadium, but have canceled those plans due to inclement weather. They will still play Jack Fleming’s call of the play over loud speakers at 3:41pm when Franco Harris scooped up a batted Terry Bradshaw pass and ran it for a touchdown, which gave the Steelers a playoff victory over the Raiders. It was considered to be the moment that helped kick off the team’s dynasty run of the 1970’s. The Steelers will still hold a retirement ceremony of Franco Harris’ #32 jersey during the game Saturday, despite Franco’s passing this week.
