The Pittsburgh Steelers have released three players in moves to save salary cap money. Released were quarterback Mitch Trubisky, offensive lineman Chuks Okorafor and punter Pressley Harvin. Trubisky had two years remaining on his contract. Okorafor had started 55 consecutive games until being replaced by rookie Broderick Jones, last season’s #1-draft pick of the Steelers. Harvin was a seventh-round draft pick in 2021, but struggled with consistency last season. NFL free agency begins March 11th.
