The Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Tennessee Titans 19-13 Sunday at Heinz Field. They did so despite a lackluster offensive performance and a defense that allowed more than 200 yards rushing. Yet the Steelers defense made enough plays to hold the Titans scoreless in the second half, and kicker Chris Boswell kicked four field goals. The win gives the Steelers a 7-6-1 record heading into their road game in Kansas City this weekend.
The Steelers managed only 35 yards on the ground. Ben Roethlisberger threw for only 148 yards, but the offense did not turn the ball over. The defense forced four Tennessee turnovers.
Linebacker T.J. Watt had 1-1/2 sacks, and broke James Harrison’s season sack record of 16. Watt now has 17-1/2 sacks this year.
The Steelers are still at the bottom of a very tight AFC North Division, with Cleveland hosting Las Vegas this evening. That game was postponed because of the virus outbreak among the Browns. Kick-off is set for 5pm.
Two other games were also postponed until Tuesday. Philadelphia will host Washington and the Los Angeles Rams will host Seattle. Both games have a 7pm kick-off tomorrow.
The regularly scheduled Monday Night game will have Chicago hosting Minnesota tonight. Kick-off is 8:15pm.
The Cincinnati Bengals have tied the Baltimore Ravens for first place in the AFC North following a 15-10 win over Denver. Baltimore lost to Green Bay 31-30. The Ravens have lost three games in a row, and missed another two-point conversion to win a game for the second time during their losing streak.
The Packers clinched the NFC North with their victory. They now have the best record in the NFL at 11-3 after Arizona lost to Detroit 30-12.
