The Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Los Angeles Chargers 24-17 last night in Sunday Night Football. The Steelers jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter thanks to two big defensive plays made by rookie Devin Bush. Bush recovered a fumble for touchdown and picked off a Philip Rivers pass that set up an eventual touchdown by James Conner.
Conner rushed for 41 yards on 16 carries. He caught seven passes for 78 yards. Back-up Benny Snell rushed 17 times for 75 yards.
Quarterback Devlin Hodges went 15-of-20 for 132 yards with a touchdown pass and an interception.
It was the first victory for the Steelers on the west coast since October 13th, 2015 – when they defeated the Chargers in San Diego.
The Steelers are off this week and return against the winless Miami Dolphins October 28th.

–Baltimore improved to 4-2 with a 23-17 victory over Cincinnati. The Bengals are 0-6
–Cleveland lost to Seattle 32-28 and blamed officiating. The Browns are 2-4 and tied with the Steelers.
–Houston handed Kansas City their second consecutive defeat 31-24.
–The New York Jets stunned the Dallas Cowboys 24-22.
–New Orleans defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars 13-6.
–Carolina defeated Tampa Bay 37-26.
–Washington defeated Miami 17-16 in a battle of winless teams.
–Minnesota defeated Philadelphia 38-20.
–San Francisco defeated the Los Angeles Rams 20-7. The 49ers remain undefeated along with New England.
–Arizona defeated Atlanta 34-33.
–Denver shutout Tennessee 16-0.
