Stephen J. Gregorek, age 89, of Butler, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2017, at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Ambridge, PA on April 5, 1928, he was the son of the late Steve and Mary Painteric Gregorek.
A veteran of the United States Navy, he served during World War II.
Stephen was a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University Class of 1948.
He was formerly employed as an engineer at North American Aviation, Systems Development Corporation, Federal Electric Corporation, and Xerox Corporation.
He was a member of Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Rhea A. Williams Gregorek, whom he married December 17, 1973; one daughter, Margi Davis and her husband, Roger, of Honolulu, HI; two step-sons, Allan Wolf and his wife, Ruth, of Mt. Joy, PA, and Bruce Wolf and his wife, Karen, of Baden, PA; eight grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Katherine Walko.
Friends will be received in the Martin Funeral Home, Inc., 429 Center Avenue, Butler, on Sunday from 1-3 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. from Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean Street, Butler.
Burial will take place in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
Members of Saint Paul Catholic Women and Christian Mothers will meet at the church on Monday at 9:35 a.m. to recite the rosary.
