Stephen “Skip” J. Thomas, 82 of Lyndora passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 in Allegheny General Hospital. He was born in Lyndora on December 15, 1939 to the late Steve and Alice (Kononchuk) Thomas. After graduating high school in 1956, he served his country honorably with the US Navy. He then worked at Pullman Standard for over 18 years until they closed. After that he worked at Malampy, and eventually worked at the Chestnut Street Inn, which was his favorite place to hang out. He loved his job and all who visited there. He Enjoyed to dance, read, do crosswords, play in his pool league, and watch old movies. He loved his family. He had an extended family that any man would envy. They were the highlight of his life. He knew how to have a good time and was the life of the party. He is survived by his children Tammy (Brad) Dumbaugh, Brian (Kim) Thomas, and Tim (Steve Rottman) Thomas; his stepchildren Robin Antanaitis and Randy (Renee) Jackman; his grandchildren David (Jamie), Eric (Alexis), Faren (Philip), Kayley, Garrett, Tyler, and Jared; his 6 great grandchildren; his sisters Dorothy Grigoletti and Sylvia Mann; and his former spouse Alberta Stockard. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 20 years Ella Mae Thomas and his sister Mary Ann Germaine. All services will be held privately. Arrangements through the SPENCER D.
