Strong storms rolled in overnight and that’s left hundreds without power.
Energy crews continue to work on restoring power. According to the latest information from First Energy, there are about 280 residents in the county with a power outage this morning. At one point, that number was well over 700.
Central Electric Cooperative is also dealing with outages—around 150 members of the cooperative have outages as of 8 a.m.
The storms have kept emergency crews busy through the overnight hours. The Butler County 911 Center has handled nearly two dozen calls for trees and wires down.
Drivers are urged to use caution this morning and avoid driving over any downed wires as they may be live.
