Fifteen fire school students were able to get real-life experience thanks do a donation from the Butler Transit Authority.
Earlier this month, the authority donated one of its retired buses to BC3’s Butler County Fire School. The training was held at Krill Recycling in Fenelton.
Students were able to focus on extrication techniques on a vehicle that they typically don’t have access to.
The bus was the authority’s retired Gillig bus 843. It was replaced this spring when the authority took ownership of three new Gillig compressed natural gas buses.
