Butler County is considered one of the top counties in the state for incoming investment.
A new study by Smart Asset found that Butler ranks eighth in Pennsylvania for incoming investment. It was only one of two counties in Western PA on the list.
One of the areas analyzed was new building permits, in which Butler is seeing 9.2 new permits per 1,000 homes. That ranks second only behind Cumberland County.
The studied also weighed new business launches and Gross Domestic Product.
