The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is continuing late-summer road project maintenance work around Butler County this week.
These activities include single lane traffic from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily due to pipe replacement on Whitestown Road in Butler Township between Home Avenue and Duffy Road, as well as bridge repair on Route 528 (Prospect Road) in Franklin Township and drainage work on West Sunbury Road.
Patching will be taking place on Route 8 in Penn Township, while paving work is planned for Slippery Rock and Hallston Roads in Brady Township and Keister Road in Cherry Township. Underground utility work will also be taking place Monday through Thursday 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. in Cranberry Township on Freedom Road between Haine School Road and Lovi Road.
Crews will also be shoulder cutting in Slippery Rock Township along Centerville Pike, West Liberty Road, and Branchton Road. Mowing is planned for Mercer and New Castle Roads in Slippery Rock Township as well as Eau Claire Road in Mercer Township and Euclid Road in Clay Township.
