A Summit Township man is accused of strangling his girlfriend and threatening her with a knife after she confronted him about his drug use.
State police arrested 30-year-old Bradley Cramer on Thursday following the incident inside the girlfriend’s apartment in Slippery Rock.
Officers were called to the University Village apartment complex about 2 p.m. after a woman called 911 screaming for help. The woman alleged she came home to find Cramer lying face down with a bag of heroin on him. She told police that when she confronted Cramer about the drugs, he became angry and shoved her and then strangled her.
She alleged he then grabbed a box cutter-style knife and held it against her neck.
The victim was able to get away to call for help.
Cramer was arrested and taken to the Butler County Prison.
