Butler County officially submitted their Community Development Block Grant application that will help pay for certain projects in the region.
One of the areas the $850,000 grant will go toward is the upcoming Summit Township Sewer installation. The required tap-in cost is $6,000—but residents who qualify can get assistance through the CDBG grant.
Interested residents can visit the Summit Township Municipal Building, or get applications on the Summit Township and Butler County government website.
The remaining funds will go toward housing rehabilitation projects in Jefferson and Penn Townships, along with construction work of McCandless Road in Slippery Rock.
