Two teenage girls were killed in a crash Sunday night in Mercer County.
The multi-vehicle crash happened about 7:30 p.m. on I-80 eastbound near Mercer.
An SUV was reportedly traveling eastbound when the driver lost control and collided with a semi-truck that was also traveling east. A second truck was also involved, according to police.
Four teenage girls were in the vehicle. Two of them- 16-year-old Alexis Myers and 15-year-old Danielle Nelson- were pronounced dead at the scene. Both were from Hermitage.
The two other girls were treated for significant injuries.
State police believe weather played a factor in the crash. The investigation continues.
