In the NHL playoffs, the Carolina Hurricanes defeated the New York Islanders 3-1. The Toronto Maple Leafs fell to the Boston Bruins last night 5-1.
There are four more NHL playoff games scheduled for today. Florida hosts Tampa Bay at 12:30pm, the New York Rangers host Washington at 3pm, Colorado faces off against Winnipeg at 7pm, and Vancouver is hosting Nashville at 10pm.
The Pittsburgh Riverhounds emerged victorious over Phoenix Rising last night. This breaks their losing streak – the Riverhounds had been 0-5 so far this season. The Riverhounds next face Detroit City this coming weekend.
