The Super Bowl may have been a blow out, but Pennsylvania sports books were blown away by the amount of money bet on the big game.
The Pennsylvania Gaming Board said preliminary numbers show that $53.6 million were bet in the Keystone state on the Super Bowl.
A majority of the bets were made online.
That number nearly doubles the amount bet in the Super Bowl last year. The 2020 game reported just over $30 million in bets.
