Survey work is underway on 18 acres of land in the Pullman Business Park purchased last year by Butler Township to use for recreational purposes.
Over the next two weeks to a month, the survey is expected to help with aligning the different parcels and planning site layout. This will also allow for a more detailed look at utilities and existing right of ways
Township employees are taking advantage of the seasonal conditions to do brush clearing work on the property which has not been maintained in recent years. The Township has not finalized plans for exactly how all of the space will be used.
The Township is also waiting to hear back from PennDOT about a $2.8 million grant to realign Whitestown Road with the entry to the Pullman Business Park that would allow for improved access to the property.
