Susanne Podobensky, 93, of Butler Township passed away at Concordia on Saturday, May 15, 2021. She was born on October 12, 1927 in Berlin, Germany to the late Ernst and Charlotte (O’Brien) Klingeberger. Susanne was well known for her meticulous gardens and yard, neighbors would walk out of their way to admire her work, especially her tulips and tomatoes. She worked endlessly and fought to always stay busy. She was active in her gardens up until just a few years ago. She was loved and will be forever missed. Susanne was the loving mother of Harriet (Edward) Jurysta of Butler Twp; grandmother of Jennifer (Mark) Huba and Renee’ (Christopher) Ammon; great grandmother of Bayleigh Ammon and Benjamin Huba. She is also survived by her brother Falko Klingeberger of Germany and her cherished “Dog” Lizzy. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Andrew Podobensky in 1989 and her siblings Irntraut Benau and Gernot Klingeberger. Friends will be received on Tuesday, May 18th from noon until 1 PM in the SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 NEW CASTLE RD. BUTLER, PA 16001. A prayer service will immediately follow in the funeral home. Burial will be held privately.
