State police say they have caught the suspects involved in the Clearview carrot caper and the stolen items from the Easter display are safely back at the mall.
The incident happened Wednesday afternoon, when two suspects stole a three-foot foam carrot and a piñata from the Easter display. While taking off, the pair dragged a security guard by the truck for a quarter-mile. Fortunately, no one was hurt.
Now, police say they were able to locate the carrot and piñata at a home in Chicora.
The suspects were identified as Colton Wiles and Garret Obryan, both of Texas.
Police say due to the nature of the crime, and that the items were not damaged, no one was taken into custody. Charges will be filed at a later date.
