An administrator in the Seneca Valley School District is receiving recognition for her work in the education field.
Quincy Gildea is an assistant principal at the district’s Intermediate High School and she was recently named as the Jean Winsand Emerging Women Leader in Education Award.
The award is in honor of a longtime professor at the University of Pittsburgh. It recognizes a woman who is in the early stage of a leadership career.
Gildea will be recognized at a dinner in April. She was previously a second grade teacher in the district before becoming an assistant principal.
