A senior at Seneca Valley took a long trip on his bicycle this spring in order to bring awareness to cancer.
Noah Petersen is from Cranberry Township and he went on a 100 mile trip last month as a way to show support for his grandparents, who have both battled cancer.
On April 17th, Petersen woke up early and began the trek to Grove City. His round trip took less than six hours and covered 100 miles.
“I went to bed early the night before and found it hard to fall asleep,” Petersen said. “When I woke up, I ate a big breakfast, packed some food and water bottles, and set off.”
He also set a fundraising goal of $1,000 to donate to the American Cancer Society—he also broke that number and is currently at $1,300. He plans to continue to raise funds over the next several weeks.
