With less than a week before the primary election, students at a local school are receiving statewide recognition for efforts to get out the vote.
The PA Department of State announced that Seneca Valley High School Students will receive The Governor’s Civic Engagement Award.
This honor is being presented because 93 percent of eligible students at Seneca Valley High School have been registered to vote. This program is offered in cooperation with the Department of Education and includes resources and guidance for student leaders.
This award was instituted at the beginning of the current school year and so far, three schools have qualified to be honored.
